Public Company Value Ratios
Price-To-Earnings Ratio
Investors take the most recent stock price divided by the total earnings per share for the preceding quarter.
Price-To-Book Ratio
Investors take the most recent stock price divided by the disseminated book value per stock share of the preceding quarter
PROFITABILITY (%)
Gross Margin
Investors take the most recent revenue totals and deduct the cost of doing business divided by revenue total (x100).
Operating Margin
Investors take the operating income divided by the total revenue stream (x100).
Net Margin
Investors take the gross income divided by revenue (x100).

Return On Assets
Investors take the total income for the previous year divided by the average total assets (x100).
Return On Investment
Investors take the total income for the previous year divided by total liabilities and stakeholder equity (x100).
Return On Equity
Investors take the total income for the previous year divided by average equity(x100).
